The venue
The EGG
The EIT Summit will be taking place at The EGG, a modern conference centre conveniently located on Rue Bara 175 in Brussels.
How to reach the venue
The venue is easily reachable by public transport; it is located a 15-minute walk away from Gare du Midi, one of the main transport hubs in Brussels. Gare du Midi has a train station, metro lines 2 and 6, and several bus and tram lines.
From Gare du Midi – Shuttle service
On the day of the event, a shuttle service will be provided for all participants between Gare du Midi and The EGG. The meeting point for the shuttle is Rue de l'Instruction 156, and will be marked with EIT flags on the spot. The service will be active from 8:45 to 10:15 and from 18:00 to 19:00.
The venue is within walking distance from Gare du Midi, thus also easily reachable on foot.
From Brussels International Airport:
By taxi: the journey from the airport to the venue takes around 30 minutes. We estimate that fares will cost between €40 and €50.
By train: there is a train station located at level -1 of the airport, with trains leaving for the city centre every 15 minutes on average. From the airport you can directly reach Gare du Midi, and from there you can continue by foot or take the dedicated shuttle bus to The EGG (see point on shuttle bus service above). The train ticket costs €10.60 (including the supplementary fees for luggage) and the duration of the journey is around 25 minutes.
By bus: it’s also possible to take the number 12 bus, in the direction of ‘Trône’, until the end of the line (7 stops in total). The ticket costs €7.5, and the journey takes around 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. From Trône, you can directly enter the metro and take line 2 (in the direction of ‘Simonis’) or 6 (in the direction of ‘Roi Baudouin’). Leave the metro after 5 stops (at Gare du Midi), and then continue by foot or take the dedicated shuttle bus to The EGG (see point on shuttle bus service above).
